This year near THE CUMBERLAND GAP
Sunday, June 17 to Thursday, June 21, 2012
Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee

This year, the Table Rock Studio travels to the Cumberland Gap and the campus of Lincoln Memorial University, located at 6965 Cumberland Gap Parkway in Harrogate, Tennessee

Steeped in history, LMU's 1,000-acre wooded campus has 35 academic, administrative, and residential buildings and is situated in the mountains approximately 55 miles north of Knoxville, TN.

In the 1930s, the Spring House (pictured top right) was located in the nearby community of Tiprell, Tennessee. LMU students themselves relocated the Spring House, stone by stone, to its present location on our campus.

The Conservatory Tower (right) is what remains of one of LMU's early campus buildings. The original Conservatory was the home of Colonel A. A. Arthur. Later, it housed the music program.

With so much history around, it will be an inspiring setting to begin a new project or revise a manuscript. Spend a week in the company of your peers and bask in the support and encouragement of skilled writing teachers--all within easy driving distance of Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
